VitAL is a research, implementation, training and education initiative that aims to improve the lived experience of Alabamians with mental health, substance use, and trauma-related challenges. The education and training is geared toward Students, Community Members, Workforce, Support People/Caregivers Research and Evaluation VitAL is committed to supporting the research and evaluation needs of Alabama organizations, including assessing needs, identifying and securing potential collaborators and partners, and generating reports, white papers, and peer-reviewed articles. Service and Implementation VitAL is committed to ensuring that services and implementation efforts across our state are evidence-informed. Community Engagement Vital is committed to seeing positive outcomes in areas such as crisis care, housing, and prevention. Vital meets with community stakeholders individually so that they contextualize and use data insights to provide the highest level of service, which is critical to achieving and sustaining positive change and improving the lives and well-being of Alabamians. Evidenced-Based Practices Our Approach VitAL uses evidenced based practices while aligning principles of research with a focus on outcomes in all aspects of service provision, evaluation, training, advocacy, and community engagement.
