CARE Certification

The C.A.R.E. Individual Certification is a self-paced training pathway for professionals who want to build skills in maternal behavioral health and get recognized for it.

Step 1: Register

1. • Use this link to sign up for the Certification

1. • LB gets the info and sends an email with a link to the first step, a statement of commitment

Step 2: Participant fills out the statement of commitment.

1. • In the follow up email/completion using this link, the participants in the organization will be directed to the course registration.

1. • Gain access to the C.A.R.E. Community Dashboard

 

Step 3: Complete the Core Training Series
Required: Introduction to SBIRT, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Negotiated Interview, Screening & Scoring, and SBIRT: Putting It All Together.

Step 4: Complete Final reflection/assessment:
[This is the assessment that is needed before being awarded the Badge (as input in the Badge application for OTIDE).]

Step 5: Earn C.A.R.E. Community Recognition
Receive your C.A.R.E. Community Partner designation, a digital badge, recognition opportunities, and ongoing access to resources.

The C.A.R.E. Community Certification is a structured pathway for organizations ready to deepen their capacity in maternal mental health and substance use support.

Step 2: Discovery Call
Meet with the Every Step PM to share about your organization, identify needs and training priorities, and connect with the organizational champion.

Step 3: Statement of Commitment & Collaboration
Approve a shared commitment, not a contract, to the C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accessibility, Recovery, and Excellence. Use this link.

Step 4: C.A.R.E. Community Dashboard Access
Receive access to training links, resources, an event calendar, and a communication hub.

Step 5: Complete Recommended Trainings
Required: SBIRT Overview, Motivational Interviewing, Brief Negotiated Interview, Screening & Scoring, and SBIRT: Putting It All Together.
Optional: Maternal Mental Health, OUD in Pregnancy/Postpartum, and other Every Step offerings.

Step 6: Review and enhance documentation system or electronic health record
